  HEB as a company has a lot to offer, especially their own branded foods. Their brand foods are more often that not very tasty, fresh, and they shy away from chemicals and artificial flavors, colors, etc. However, this specific location definitely has its flaws. The produce department is so large and they always have an excess of product to accommodate the large area, causing a lot of it to sit around unsold for too long, spoiling the fresh quality of the produce. The store can also become very crowded on the weekends and it can be very mentally exhausting to shop in such a large and crowded store. But honestly, the one BIG issue is the front end. The check out members have NO sense of urgency and constantly mishandle the food they are ringing up/bagging. I do not appreciate my chips, bread, and other soft foods being tossed about and it is unacceptable to have to wait in line for such an extended period of time for cashiers and baggers to slowly check customers out with zero sense of urgency. People have perishable foods in the baskets that will spoil waiting in your long lines (i.e. milk, eggs, frozen foods, hot prepared foods). Management needs to work more diligently on keeping on top of these front end issues.
